Things To Remember

THINGS TO REMEMBER

PROBIOTICS:

Probiotics are very important when working on healing the gut.  They need to be taken daily.  And if it’s necessary to be on antibiotics for something, please take probiotics along with it.  Although, they will need to be taken two to four hours apart.

If you’re taking a powdered probiotic, try not to get it wet, even moist.  It will kill the bugs.  Don’t put your finger in it because your finger has oils in it.  Most probiotics need to be refrigerated; just remember to check your packaging to be sure.  Otherwise, the warm air will also kill the bugs.

YEAST OVERGROWTH

Most children on the Autism Spectrum have yeast overgrowth.  It causes several problems, including behavioural issues.  One of the signs is a drunk-like behavior.

Antibiotics can cause too much yeast, if your not careful.  This leads to all sorts of health problems down the road.  So, if antibiotics must be taken, keep control of the yeast.  There are several ways to do this.  A couple of them are coconut oil, Uva Ursi, which is a supplement, or MCT Liquid.  Probiotics also help with the yeast.

ACETAMINOPHEN

Acetaminophen lowers the glutathione level.  This can be very dangerous.  Please have your child or yourself tested for low glutathione, especially if you have been taking acetaminophen.
